The FIA F4 Global Esports Championship presented by MOZA is set to make a return in October this year with an increased prize pool, following a successful debut season in 2024. The upcoming series will feature four events and eight rounds, offering drivers worldwide the chance to compete for a $35,000 prize pool. The races will be broadcast live on various iRacing social media platforms.
During the previous season, Luke McKeown from the UK emerged as the champion, outperforming competitors from various regions. The European representation was strong, with two Spaniards, Alejandro Sánchez and Aaron Vazquezz, closely following McKeown. Nicolás Rubilar from Chile and Alejandro Sendra from Japan also showcased their skills, representing the Americas and Asia-Pacific regions, respectively.
The collaboration between iRacing and the FIA dates back to mid-2023, with over 100,000 drivers engaging in virtual F4 races to refine their racing abilities. The FIA F4 Regional Tours, focusing on distinct global regions, provide a simulated racing experience mirroring the initial steps of a racer’s real-world journey.
iRacing has partnered with more than 80 FIA national sporting authorities to support new sim racers globally and establish national championship series. The platform offers opportunities for aspiring racers to transition from virtual to real-world racing.
Qualification for the FIA F4 Global Esports Championship requires participation in iRacing’s FIA F4 Regional Tour series during the upcoming 2025 Season 3, commencing in mid-June. The top ten drivers from each Regional Tour series will earn invitations to compete in the Championship, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.
The championship events are scheduled as doubleheaders on October 25th, November 8th, November 22nd, and the final race on December 6th. Each event will feature 15-minute races on a track disclosed 24 hours in advance, challenging drivers to adapt swiftly. Competitors will utilize fixed setups to ensure fair competition.
