True Gamers has recently made a significant move by expanding its presence in Saudi Arabia with the opening of four new gaming café and esports venues in Riyadh. This expansion, marked by an agreement signed in Dubai Internet City on June 23rd, represents the company’s first multi-location launch in the country.
The operation of these new venues will be overseen by CRIT Gaming Saudi, under the leadership of Ilya Yuryev, who will serve as True Gamers’ official representative in Saudi Arabia. This endeavor follows the company’s successful franchise deal in Mecca, where a flagship games club is currently under development.
Established in 2022, True Gamers currently operates 15 venues in the UAE and is now venturing into new territories such as Morocco, Jordan, France, and Germany. The company stands out for hosting up to seven esports tournaments weekly, collaborating with prominent brands like Sony and LG, and introducing innovative initiatives like eQueens Villa, which is recognized as the Arab world’s first women-only games hub.
Vlad Belyanin, co-founder of True Gamers, expressed optimism about the Saudi market, describing it as ambitious, young, and poised for a higher level of gaming infrastructure. He emphasized the company’s commitment to establishing local partnerships and creating spaces that resonate authentically with the Saudi gaming community.
True Gamers’ expansion in Saudi Arabia is in alignment with the country’s Vision 2030 strategy, a transformative initiative that includes substantial state-backed investments exceeding $13 billion to position the Kingdom as a global gaming hub. The strategic plan aims to generate tens of thousands of jobs and contribute significantly to the country’s GDP through the burgeoning games and esports sector.
The collaboration between True Gamers and CRIT Gaming Saudi not only signifies a milestone for the company’s growth but also reflects the increasing recognition of esports as a lucrative and culturally significant industry in the Middle East and North Africa region.
As esports continue to gain traction globally, Saudi Arabia is emerging as a key player in the industry, with a growing emphasis on fostering a supportive ecosystem for gaming enthusiasts and professionals. The country’s investments in gaming infrastructure and partnerships with leading companies like True Gamers demonstrate a strategic vision to capitalize on the economic and social potential of esports.
The rapid expansion of True Gamers into new markets reflects the dynamic growth trajectory of the esports sector and underscores the company’s commitment to providing cutting-edge gaming experiences to diverse communities. With its strategic partnerships and innovative initiatives, True Gamers is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of esports in the MENA region and beyond.
